Dr. Disha Pennington

DDS

Dr. Disha Pennington graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Biology/Physiology. She worked in medical research in the Department of Neurosurgery at University Hospitals in Cleveland for six years. Dr. Pennington earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry in 1999. She then completed a one-year general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland. During her training there, she had extensive training on all aspects of dentistry with a focus on comprehensive care, treating patients who were medically compromised. Dr. Pennington is a general dentist who is committed to providing the highest standard of care. She is truly passionate about continuing her education and has completed extensive training through advanced lectures and workshops including those at and associated with the Kois Center, Spear Education, CEREC Doctors, Invisalign, Pikos Institute, Advanced Implant Education, American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), International Academy of Sleep (IAOS), American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACFP), American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA), as well as others offered through the AS American Dental Association (ADA) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

Dr. Pennington has been practicing for over 25 years and enjoys the relationships with the generations of families she treats. She loves to treat patients of all ages. When Dr. Pennington is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her two adult children: Jarad and Alia, as well as her fur babies: Gulliver and Gryffin. Her hobbies include playing tennis, watching tennis, anything tennis, running, spinning, yoga, hiking and just being outdoors.

Meet the Team

Nikki is the office manager and is the first smiling face you will see to welcome you to the practice. She has been part of our practice family for 25 years and truly enjoys connecting with patients. Nikki is always happy to help with questions about insurance, appointments, or treatment. Originally from Cuyahoga Falls, she has three children and one adorable granddaughter she loves spending time with. Outside of the office, Nikki enjoys hiking with her husband, exercising, baking, and traveling.

Nikki Goubeaux

Gretchen, a certified dental hygienist, graduated from Stark State College in 2003 and has been part of our practice for 20 years. She finds great fulfillment in helping patients achieve better oral health, feel more confident about their smiles, and overcome dental anxiety. With her bubbly personality, warm smile, and caring attention to each patient’s needs, Gretchen makes every visit a positive experience. She is a proud mother of three beautiful children, enjoys cheering them on in their sports activities, and is actively involved in her church community

Gretchen Frazier

Maddie is a certified dental assistant, trained at Stark State College and has been with the practice for almost 4 years. Her attention to detail and pleasant personality make her an invaluable part of our team. In addition to assisting the doctor chairside, Maddie is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. Madison is pursuing an education to be a registered dental hygienist; but will continue helping out at our office during her training.
When not working, Maddie enjoys spending time with her family and fiancé, caring for her cats, doting on her sweet niece and listening to country music.

Madison Briggs

Chelsea is a certified dental hygienist, graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2023. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal oral health. She believes in a gentle and compassionate approach to dental care. She especially enjoys seeing how happy patients get when they have beautiful smiles. She grew up in Akron, Ohio; has 2 beautiful children who are both very active in sports and school activities. She enjoys spending time with her children, husband and dogs and enjoys reading and going on hikes.

Gulliver

Gulliver is a seven-year-old Australian Goldendoodle with the heart of a true gentleman. He loves being around people—especially children—and has carried an old, gentle soul since puppyhood. A natural greeter, Gulliver happily soaks up pets and scratchies while making new friends. He often escorts you quietly to the treatment room as if it’s his personal duty, his calm, affectionate nature shining through the kind eyes that seem to speak to you. Be sure to stop and say hello during your visit—he’ll brighten your day just as he does ours every single day.

Gryffin

Gryffin, our three-year-old Australian Labradoodle, may be a bit reserved at first, but once he warms up – his sweet and playful personality comes to life. Beneath his spunky energy lies a gentle spirit that loves to connect. Once you’re seated —if you wish—he’ll happily hop onto your lap, curl up, and snuggle during your treatment appointments, welcoming all the scratchies he can get. He instantly transforms into a mellow presence that brings a sense of calm and comfort that our patients adore,
